History
TEC artec GmbH has two main predecessors
for its product range:
1) The development of equipment for steam applications started in 1901 with the foundation of “Pat. E. Hannemann G.m.b.H.”, in Berlin. Mr Hannemann was the inventor of the water level equipment for steam boilers (see pic.).
At 1984 Mr Seewald bought the Hannemann GmbH and developed more special armature for steam control: the desuperheater with multiple nozzle design and fluid control with control valves based on special ball valve design.

2) The former “Borsig” pipeline ball valves production in Berlin.
Mr. Seewald was working with the Borsig company on the construction of the pipeline ball valves.
The following milestones are based on these experiences:

1990
Design of soft sealed and metal sealed ball valves for a wide range of applications in high pressure, high temperature and/or highly abrasive fluids. – Special design of ceramic ball valves and for control ball valves.

2007
Design of TECgate: a metal sealed gate valve for gas up to PN100 and for district heating up to 140°C.

2011
New patented design of desuperheater for “GuD” (natural gas and steam power plant) steam turbine application at 720°C.
This is a world leading technology in power generation.

2011
New patented design of a low shear valve to keep the viscosity of polymers high.

2012
AVK Holding A.S. bought TEC artec GmbH to join their businesses in gas and water segments and to add competence in AVK Industrial Valve Segments.
